Our Fleet
We have 3 Beneteau First 44.7's
Sailing World - Boat Of the Year 2005
(Cruiser/Racer Category)
If the design brief to Farr for this newest boat in the line-up was to try and create a 47.7 in terms of space and speed, and fit it into a budget closer in line to the 40.7, then he is to be commended.
The cockpit is sensibly laid out, very wide, totally functional and with sufficient room for as many crew as it needs to carry out a heavy downwind gybe! Inside the boat, every spare centimetre has been very well thought out in order to achieve the best possible use of all the space.
As a result, she has three good cabins, two very well appointed heads compartments, a useful chart table, a workable galley and more cupboard and locker space than you will ever find on another performance 44 footer!
The 44.7 is already proving herself to be a stiff yacht upwind, and extremely well-balanced, even without a weather-rail full of crew, and her performance certainly makes her stand out from many other apparently similar boats.
The first boats are now appearing in the UK so look out for her at the top of the scoreboards and please take the chance to then come and have a look. She is something special, even by Beneteau's standards!
